My goal was to create a 3D hand-painted environment that could serve as a flexible, easily adjustable background for 2D animation. I envisioned a serene traditional Japanese house and garden — a peaceful refuge from the hectic chaos of the outside world.
The inspiration for the artstyle where Studio Ghibli movies and the movie "Legend of Hei" by HMCH Studio.
I really enjoyed doing the painterly look and combining it with 3D.
Every item in the scene was first modeled in Blender and then painted seperately with Procreate.

Avatar
The goal was to give users a visual identity within the habit tracker — an avatar that grows and changes alongside their progress.
The design relies on minimal shapes and an app-friendly aesthetic to ensure clarity and recognizability across all screen sizes.
Drawing inspiration from the cosmos, it conveys a modern and mysterious atmosphere that complements the project’s visual identity.

Nova
The app’s little co-pilot — always ready to help. Nova usually rests quietly in the corner of the screen but wakes up whenever the user needs guidance.

Fitting for the COSMIQ theme the environment is a planet-
Your own world — built from the ground up. As you earn in-app currency, you can unlock new items and personalize your planet to match your style. The concept draws inspiration from Animal Crossing and Hay Day, both known for their engaging and rewarding progression systems.
