Behind
A coming-of-age short about two sisters on opposite sides of change. When one moves out, both face the distance between growing up and growing apart — and the realization that things aren’t always as they seem.

TASK
We were asked to create a short film on a topic of our choice. Working as a group of five, we developed the concept and pre-production together, then divided responsibilities during the shooting days and post-production to stay organized and efficient.

POST
My primary responsibility during post-production was color grading — the art of using color to enhance emotions and convey mood.
I employed distinct color palettes to emphasize varying atmospheres, positions, and energies throughout the project.

SHOOT
During the shoot, my role was to manually pull focus, as we were working with vintage lenses. It was a challenging yet enjoyable task. The most demanding part was executing the one-shot sequence, where the camera moved rapidly without any pauses.

PREP
Before the main shoot, we filmed a previz using minimal equipment and without hired actors to experiment with camera movement and shot composition. This allowed us to develop a shared understanding of the visual flow. The production itself spanned three full shooting days and involved approximately two and a half months of pre- and post-production.

TASK
The idea was to create a short clip using four random words: night, parking lot, fear, and box. The goal was to combine these elements into a short, atmospheric sequence while exploring creative storytelling. It also served as a way to get comfortable with the camera, lighting, and other equipment through hands-on practice.
CONCLUSION
This short clip served as valuable practice for everyone. It was enjoyable and gave us the opportunity to express our creativity in capturing the shots we envisioned.
